The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) seeks a Product Owner for Operating Systems, Databases, and Edge Computing. This position offers an opportunity to enhance technology solutions, supporting global humanitarian efforts and innovation.
The International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC) works worldwide to provide protection and humanitarian assistance to people affected by conflict and armed violence. Following the ongoing transformation towards a Product Organization within the ICRC Hybrid Cloud Product team, the ODE (OS, DB and Edge Management) Product Owner is an acknowledged technical leader with a good understanding of business processes. The product owner will specifically collect and understand business issues and try to resolve and build the technical foundations required to deliver the solutions.

Responsibilities
- Anticipates needs and provides orientation on the technologies used in the product under responsibility.
- Oversees backlog prioritization across build and run and is responsible for explaining business needs to the Agile delivery team (“what is needed” and “why it is needed”).
- Ensures monitoring of the product following architecture and infrastructure guidelines, ensuring business continuity, handling of incidents, and focal point for escalation.
- Part of the Agile Product Team may employ agile practices and participate in the technical delivery.
- Accountable for the achievement of the milestones agreed with the Product Line Lead & Technology Manager, for the quality of the product, in terms of non-functional requirements (performance, stability, upgradeability and security).
- Responsible for assigning backlog priorities.

Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in ICT management or Business or equivalent professional experience.
- Minimum of 10 years’ experience.
- Excellent command of English and/or French. Additional language(s) an asset.
- Certification in agile methodologies is an asset, and training and coaching are provided.
- Expert in Servers OS (RedHat Linux, Windows Server).
- Expert in DB (Open-Source DB and MSSQL).
- Good knowledge of OS Security and Log management.
- Good experience in networking, storage, and security best practices
