The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is looking for passionate individuals to fill an admin support role in 2025. This is a fantastic chance to contribute to vital environmental initiatives while building your skills. The consultant will report to the Administrative Officer, Amanda Lees. The services of an Individual Contractor (IC) are required to provide financial and administrative support to the Fund Management Officer (FMO) and the Mitigation Branch Administrative Team. The IC will assist in the preparation of due diligence reports, risk assessments, and in supporting the implementation of UNEP’s Partnership Policy.

Responsibilities
- Due Diligence Reports: Completed and documented due diligence assessments for implementing partners in line with UNEP guidelines.
- Risk Assessments: Prepare risk assessment reports to inform decision-making on partnerships and project implementation.
- Partnership Policy Support: Support activities contributing to the effective implementation of UNEP’s Partnership Policy, including coordination and follow-up actions.
- Legal Instruments: Annotated or summarized reviews of legal instruments (e.g., MoUs, PCAs) with identified risks or required follow-up actions.
- Technical Support for Umoja 2: Provide support in Umoja 2 processes (e.g., partner creation, fund reservations, grant management), including troubleshooting and training materials if applicable. Provide Adhoc support to the admin team.

Requirements
- Completion of secondary education or equivalent is required.
- A minimum of five years’ work experience in the fields of Accounting, finance, preparation and review of risk assessments and due diligence or related area is required.
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is desirable.
