The International Organization for Migration (IOM) invites applications for a Project Officer vacancy for 2025. This role offers a chance to make a significant impact on migration projects and support vulnerable communities worldwide. Under the overall supervision of the Chief of Mission and the direct supervision of the Program Manager, and in coordination with the Policy and Programme Support Coordinator, the Project Officer will provide technical and administrative support to the International Organization for Migration (IOM) Thailand in advancing migration policies, streamline protection approaches and enhance protection services of vulnerable migrants and victims of trafficking in Thailand, Indonesia, Myanmar and Cambodia.

Responsibilities
- In close coordination with the Program Manager, support the day-to-day implementation of unit’s programme activities, including monitoring of budgets, progress against targets, and timely implementation of activities.
- Support development and implementation of information and knowledge management processes for the IBG/CT/AVRR Unit by providing technical inputs and administrative guidance. Liaise with the Migration Data and Research Unit (MDRU) for the data consolidation, creation of maps, reports, dashboards, analysis, and production of other IM products.
- Draft regular, high quality programme updates, external reports, factsheets, case studies, project briefs and success stories as required, and ensure timely dissemination of products.
- Ensure that projects are accurately reflected in PRIMA at all stages of the projects cycle.
- Provide technical inputs and information to support the Program Manager in developing new projects in close coordination with the Policy and Programme Support Unit (PPSU).
- Draft timely and quality submissions of project reports in close coordination with the PPSU.

Requirements
- Master’s degree in in Development, Political or Social Sciences, Law, or a related field from an accredited academic institution with two years of relevant professional experience; or,
- University degree in the above fields with four years of relevant professional experience.
- Experience working in the development and humanitarian fields;
- Experience in migration and development is highly desirable;
- Experience in data collection and analysis as well as knowledge management is highly desirable; and,
- Experience working with Government counterparts, UN agencies and/or non-governmental organizations is considered an asset.
