The UN is seeking a dedicated Assistant to support global initiatives. This role allows you to engage with diverse teams, coordinate impactful projects, and contribute to peace and development efforts worldwide. The position is located in the United Nations Peacekeeping Force in Cyprus. The incumbent will report to the Senior Transport Assistant or to his her designate.

Responsibilities
- Issues vehicles in accordance with vehicles establishment committee (VEC) decisions and Senior Transport Assistant’ s guidance.
- Ensures that vehicle/asset related databases are updated.
- Enters data, updates and verifies all information and records of UN-owned transport assets in UMOJA and Business Objects (BO).
- Creates and manages contracts with local contractors and monitors performance.
- Raises discrepancy and defect reports for incoming assets that are not in accordance with specifications outlined in Purchase Order(s).
- Conducts random and scheduled physical verification checks on COE and UNO equipment’s and performs Bi-annual inspections.
- Maintains complete records and documents of all related transactions and entries.

Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Valid driving license for all groups is required.
- A technical certificate of Motor Vehicle Technician/Mechanic is desirable.
- At least five (5) years in progressively responsible experience in transport operations is required. Experience in mechanical/electrical field is desirable.
