The UN Programme Management Officer in Paris is vital for coordinating and implementing development projects. This role focuses on strategic planning, monitoring, and evaluation, ensuring effective resource allocation to achieve sustainable development goals.
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) is the leading global environmental authority that sets the global environmental agenda, promotes the coherent implementation of the environmental dimension of sustainable development within the United Nations system and serves as an authoritative advocate for the global environment. This post is located in the Industry and Economy Division, within the Secretariat of the 10 Year Framework of Programs on Sustainable Consumption and Production (10YFP/One Planet Network), Paris Duty Station.

Responsibilities
- Development, implementation and evaluation of assigned programmes/projects
- Expand and implement projects and initiatives to enhance consumer information tools and advocacy
- Assists in policy development, including review and analysis of issues and trends, preparation of research activities and studies.
- Provides substantive support to and coordination function to consumer information international consultative and other meetings
- Undertakes outreach activities; conducts training workshops, seminars; makes presentations on assigned topics/activities.
- Proposes, supports strengthens partnerships with international organizations and initiatives associated with consumer information and consumer protection policies.
- Researches, analyzes and presents information gathered from diverse sources.
- Participates in or lead field missions, including provision of guidance to external consultants, government officials and other parties and drafting mission summaries.

Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in business administration, environmental management, sustainable development or a related field.
- A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is an advantage.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in project or programme management is required.
- Experience in sustainable consumption, consumer information and the adoption of eco-labelling or voluntary sustainability standards at policy or company level is required.
- Experience in managing multi-stakeholder partnerships is required.
