The United Nations invites applications for a Senior Investment Assistant position. This role focuses on facilitating sustainable investment strategies to support global development goals, enhancing financial initiatives, and promoting impactful projects worldwide. The incumbent reports to the Senior Investment Officer, Private Equity/Private Credit (PE/PC) Investments.

Responsibilities

• Provide both investment as well as administrative support to the private equity (PE) & private credit (PC) team.
• The incumbent will assist with the due diligence and monitoring processes.
• The incumbent will be responsible for maintaining of the PE/PC assets portfolio investment spreadsheets, reconciling with the Fund’s custodian as well as the Fund’s PE/PC asset advisor, maintaining files on shared drive in an organized matter, producing short monthly/quarterly reports on the PE/PC asset portfolio with the help of the PE/PC investment team.
• The incumbent will also monitor and assist in the implementation of orders (cash movements) for drawdowns, management fees and other cash payment purposes to individual fund managers and other related matters.
• The incumbent will work closely with OIM’s operations group and the PE/PC asset advisor to ensure all information on the Fund’s alternative asset portfolio is transparent and correct.
• The incumbent will assist in the preparation of quarterly alternative investment reviews as well as ad-hoc reports/commentaries and slide presentations including for the Investments Committee quarterly meetings, Pension Board annual meetings or as required.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• A minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in supporting investment professionals in an investment environment is required.
• Practical experience in alternative investments including either private equity or private credit is desirable.
• Experience in capital markets and international work experience are desirable.
• Experience in the area of investment management is desirable.
