🎯 Role Summary
The Consultants will support the implementation of UN Women’s Women’s Economic Empowerment Strategy, focusing on policy development, analytical research, programme design, capacity-building, and gender-responsive economic initiatives across Europe and Central Asia.
The role directly contributes to advancing women’s agency, autonomy, and equal participation in economic systems. Consultants will work across multiple thematic areas while collaborating with governments, civil society, private sector stakeholders, and UN Women offices.

🧩 Key Responsibilities
Consultants may perform one or more of the following tasks:
- Develop detailed work plans for assigned consultancy tasks.
- Draft project proposals, policy papers, and analytical reports related to women’s economic empowerment.
- Design and deliver training modules, toolkits, and capacity-building sessions.
- Conduct training needs assessments, surveys, and pre/post-training evaluations.
- Organize and facilitate events, workshops, dialogues, and technical sessions.
- Produce knowledge products such as publications, manuals, and brochures.
- Support data collection, gender analysis, and research initiatives.
- Moderate sessions, deliver keynote presentations, and provide expert inputs.
- Prepare comprehensive consultancy reports summarizing achievements and recommendations.
🎓 Required Qualifications
Education:
- Master’s degree in development studies, economics, international relations, gender studies, human rights, or related fields.
- A first-level degree with 2 additional years of experience may be accepted.
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years of experience working on women’s economic empowerment, policy development, programme design, or economic analysis.
- Experience in developing countries and/or UN system desirable.
- Experience in the Europe and Central Asia region is an asset.
Language:
- Fluency in English required.
- Knowledge of regional languages (Turkish, Albanian, Georgian, Ukrainian, etc.) is an asset.
