Responsibilities
- Under the direct supervision of the Team Leader, Nature, Climate, Energy and Resilience, the UN Volunteer will support programme activities and perform tasks below;
- Support the country office in reviewing Engineering designs and supervising Engineering related projects.
- Support the Team Leader in the coordination of the Result Group 3 meetings on environment and natural resources which is chaired by UNDP, prepare minutes, follow up with other UN agencies for their input to UN INFO and follow up on joint planning and reporting processes.
- Support the reporting processes at Country office level under the NCER portfolio including the Result Oriented Annual Reporting (ROAR), annual and quarterly reports.
- Support project steering committee engagements with partners and support preparation and prepare reports with key outcomes of these meetings.
- Assist in programme related activities, where required. These may include planning for meetings, local and national consultations, trips, and other programme related activities.
- Maintain records of meetings, decisions, actions among others

Required education level
Bachelor degree or equivalent in Civil engineering
Skills and experience
- Experience in Environment and natural resource management focusing on water infrastructure development, civil works, project management, or undertaking analytics and reporting work.
- Advance writing and reporting skills.
- Experience in the usage of computers and office software packages
- Knowledge and experience in Monitoring and evaluation is an advantage.
