The United Nations Environment Programme is seeking a skilled Administrative Officer to enhance operational efficiency. This role offers the chance to support vital programs and collaborate with diverse teams, driving impactful change on a global scale. This position is based at the Montreal duty station under the overall supervision of the Chief of Administration.

Responsibilities
- Effectively coordinates actions relative to the administration of human resource activities,
- Defines conditions of service, duties and responsibilities, and privileges and entitlements under the Staff Rules and Regulations,
- Act as primary fund management and certifying officer,
- Takes the lead with respect to the preparation and implementation of the work programme,
- Oversees work related to procurement, billing and receipt of income from various services,
- Reviews adequacy of departmental space requirements; Liaises with the Lead Agency on administrative and personnel matters as needed.

Requirements
- Advanced university degree (Master’s degree or equivalent) in human resources management, economics, business or public administration, finance, accounting, or related area is required.
- A first-level degree (Bachelor’s degree or equivalent) in the specified fields of studies with two (2) additional years of relevant work experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
- Successful completion of both degree and non-degree programs in data analytics, business analytics or data science programs is desirable.
- A minimum of five years of progressively responsible experience in administration, economics, finance, accounting, human resources management or related field is required.
