UNESCO is looking for a remote consultant to help drive meaningful work in education, culture, and science perfect for passionate professionals ready to create global impact. The individual consultant will be under the overall authority of the Director of the UNESCO Institute for Lifelong Learning (UIL, and under the direct supervision of the Head of Communication and Outreach.

Responsibilities

  • Monitor running of website and trouble-shoot challenges with the support of developers
  • Contribute to conceptualizing social media campaigns on flagship initiatives
  • Create a newsletter via MailChimp every other month, compiling existing news and event items
  • Edit and upload videos to UIL YouTube Channel and integrate into the UIL website
  • Monitor social media, website and newsletter performance and provide a monthly report

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in communication, public relations, adult education, international relations, education, or any other related fields.
  • At least 2 years of relevant work experience in public relations, ideally within the field of education, lifelong learning, or international cooperation.
  • Previous experience in planning and implementing public relations activities, including website management with Drupal 9 and social media management.
  • Proven experience in implementing public relations activities across different world regions.
  • Familiarity with lifelong learning, adult education, or education systems across UNESCO Member States.
  • Excellent writing skills.
  • Ability to collect, synthesize, and analyse information from various sources and convey succinct messages.
  • Ability to communicate sensitively, effectively, and creatively across different constituencies.
