ROLE OVERVIEW
The ICT Assistant position is a mission-critical role designed to power the digital systems that ensure global health supplies move efficiently from warehouse to end-user. This role is ideal for a service-oriented technician who excels at maintaining complex business applications and hardware in a high-stakes environment. By bridging the gap between technical requirements and operational needs, you will directly support the SCMU’s ability to maintain end-to-end visibility across global programs. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Resolve technical service calls with global IT headquarters.
- Support internal business applications including CRM and supply chain tools.
- Coordinate data gathering to identify and meet user requirements.
- Maintain office hardware and software to ensure operational continuity.
- Identify process improvements for existing ICT and business applications.
- Implement governance, risk, and compliance reporting activities.
- Advocate for capacity-strengthening initiatives within the ICT unit.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Completion of Secondary education is required. A university degree in Information Technology or Computer Science is highly desirable and may reduce the required years of experience.
Experience:
- At least five years of relevant experience in information technology, telecommunications, or electronic data processing. Experience in a global or international NGO setting is an asset.
Languages:
- Fluency in English is mandatory. Working knowledge of another official UN language (French, Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, or Russian) is a distinct advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365, enterprise CRM systems, and cloud-based data environments.
