🎯 Role Summary
The Protection Research and Information Management Officer leads the development, integration, and global expansion of Refworld and the Rights Mapping and Analysis Platform (RiMAP)—two of UNHCR’s flagship legal and policy platforms. The role combines legal research, digital innovation, partnership coordination, and strategic communication, ensuring these platforms support high-quality legal analysis, informed asylum decision-making, and stronger protection outcomes for displaced populations worldwide.

- Coordinate the integration of Refworld and RiMAP as complementary, interoperable global platforms
- Oversee technical development, usability, AI-driven tools, and enhanced search functionalities

🎓 Required Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree (required) or advanced degree (Master’s/PhD preferred) in Law or a related field
Experience:
- 6 years (Bachelor’s), 5 years (Master’s), or 4 years (PhD) of experience in law and policy analysis
- Experience with digital platforms, information management systems, and AI-driven tools
- Proven ability to manage complex, multi-stakeholder projects
- Experience in partnership building, coordination, and fundraising support
Language:
- Fluency in English (required)
- Knowledge of Spanish and/or French is an asset
