🎯 Role Summary
The Youth Innovation Consultant will play a central role in strengthening the operational delivery, mentorship systems, and youth integration components of Generation Unlimited’s global entrepreneurship and livelihoods initiatives. The position focuses on programme coordination, mentorship architecture development, youth-led feedback mechanisms, thought leadership, and cross-portfolio alignment. This consultancy supports UNICEF’s mission by ensuring young people’s voices, needs, and talents are meaningfully embedded in global development programmes.

🧩 Key Responsibilities
- Manage coordination across entrepreneurship and livelihoods workstreams to ensure timely delivery against milestones.
- Support work planning, progress monitoring, and preparation of briefs, reports, and updates.
- Design and operationalize a comprehensive mentorship framework for global youth entrepreneurship programmes.
- Develop youth feedback tools to capture insights from YPATs, alumni, and programme participants.
- Facilitate youth consultations and integration frameworks, strengthening decision-making processes.
- Coordinate implementation of micro-structures for GenU programmes, including GESP GAP.
- Lead youth-centered content development, including blogs, reports, and policy briefs.
🎓 Required Qualifications
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in International Development, Social Sciences, Public Policy, Business Administration, or related field.
Experience
- Minimum 3 years of experience in programme management, coordination, youth innovation, international development, entrepreneurship, or related sectors.
- Experience working in mentorship programmes, livelihoods initiatives, youth innovation ecosystems, or multi-stakeholder coordination.
- Demonstrated experience organizing knowledge products, lessons learned, or implementation frameworks.
Language
- Fluency in English required.
- Knowledge of another UN language is an asset.
