With support from the Government of Luxembourg, UNICEF is implementing the “Safe Child” project, focused on advancing and protecting child rights in the digital environment by ensuring the safety and security of digital systems used by UNICEF and partners, including Governments. The project will build and advance digital capabilities of UNICEF and partners in critical areas, including cybersecurity. UNICEF seeks a Project Manager for the SafeChild project at the ICTD Digital Centre of Excellence. This remote consultancy position spans 11 months, focusing on innovative solutions for child safety.

Responsibilities
- To drive the SafeChild project implementation across various teams, the project team is looking for an experienced project manager with a passion for digital transformation, cybersecurity and child rights as well as previous UN experience.
- The project manager will coordinate all operational aspects of the project, including preparation of the steering committees, supporting the coordination of project timeline and deliverables, risk management, budget and reporting.
- The project manager might also support communications as needed.
- The project manager will support the organization of two global trainings and an expert forum and panel discussion in Luxembourg, to be organized under the SafeChild initiative.

Requirements
- An advanced university degree (Master’s or higher) in Business, International Development, Computer Science, Innovation or a related field
*A first University Degree in a relevant field combined with 2 additional years of professional experience may be accepted in lieu of an Advanced University Degree. - A minimum of 5 years of relevant professional experience in managing complex projects with multiple stakeholders, preferably in an international environment
- Experience in designing trainings/capacity building initiatives/workshops for technical topics
- Organized and autonomous, able to multitask and prioritize workload when necessary
- Experience organizing high-level panels and expert forums
- Excellent writing and documentation skills, demonstrating high levels of attention to detail
- Previous experience working for a UN organization is an asset but not a requirement
- Experience in cybersecurity is considered an asset
- Fluency in English is required. Knowledge of another official UN language (Arabic, Chinese, French, Russian or Spanish) or a local language is an asset.
