The UNICEF Tanzania Country Office is recruiting a Nutrition Specialist at the P3 level under a Temporary Appointment contract to be based in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. The Nutrition Specialist will be under the overall direction and guidance of the Chief of Nutrition, The successful candidate will manage the Nutrition Governance and Early Childhood Nutrition output of the Nutrition section, and will be responsible for managing, implementing, monitoring, evaluating, and reporting the programme progress of the sectors (governance and early childhood nutrition) of the nutrition programme.

International Consultant – Review of UNICEF Technical Assistance Approach in Tanzania (2 Months)
The UNICEF Office in Tanzania is seeking to engage an international consultant to review UNICEF’s Technical Assistance approach in Tanzania. UNICEF’s current country programme started in June 2022 and has intervention in the following sectors: Health, Nutrition, Education, HIV/AIDS, WASH, Child Protection, and Social Policy. Early Childhood and Adolescents are cross-sectoral themes that are at the core of the programme. All programmes are implemented through a mix of strategies reaching from upstream programming with focus on system strengthening to a more service delivery-oriented interventions. UNICEFs programme is largely implemented through government structures. Next to the financial support that UNICEF provides via the government financial system, technical assistance is a major component of the programme

National Consultant for Digital Platforms and Innovations in Social and Behaviour Change (SBC),24 Months .
The UNICEF Tanzania Country Office is seeking to engage a consultant to enhance the digital execution of Social and Behavior Change (SBC) initiatives using the Internet of Good Things (IoGT) along with other digital channels and platforms. This includes driving digitization efforts to improve behavior change and emergency communications, ensuring these initiatives reflect strategic value, and supporting the broad engagement and optimization of SBC campaigns and tools like the Cranky Uncle Vaccine game. The consultant guided by the SBC Manager, will pioneer and amplify digital SBC initiatives through IoGT and additional digital mediums, focusing on strategic innovation, engagement, and sustainability.

National Digital Health Consultant, Zanzibar, Tanzania (32 Months)
The UNICEF Tanzanian office is seeking to recruit 3 national Digital Health consultants. The purpose of this consultancy is to provide technical assistance to the MoH in operationalizing its Digital Health Strategy. Through this consultancy, UNICEF will strengthen the digital health ecosystem in Zanzibar by building the capacity of the staff in the Information, Communication, and Technology (ICT) Department of the MOH and optimizing the functionality and use of digital health information systems. Ultimately, the technical assistance provided by the consultants will improve the capacity of the ICT Department of the MOH to strengthen the digital health ecosystem, use digital solutions for quality improvement, and institutionalize the use of client feedback mechanisms. The implementation of these activities is critical to finalise the operationalization of Digital Health Strategy (2020-2025). The deliverables generated through this consultancy will be primarily used by the Information, Communication and Technology (ICT) Unit of the MOH to steer the direction of the health system digitalisation process. Health managers will use the information generated to improve health outcomes, drive health inputs for greater efficiency, and improve the management of the health workforce. Secondary users will include health workers, community health workers and patients as part of the efforts to promote the delivery of quality PHC services.
