Responsibilities
Number of assignments: Assignment region/country 12 (3 English speaking, one each on demographic, social, or economic thematic topics); (3 French speaking , one each on demographic, social inclusion, or economic thematic topics); 3 Spanish and 3 Arabic.
Under the supervision of the UNFPA Programme Specialist:
- Censuses and Surveys, each volunteer will review a set of census thematic reports (shared in Google drive) and fill out a Google Form (developed and shared by UNFPA) to collect data that can be used for report templates. UNFPA is looking for 6 experienced Online Volunteers.
- The Google Form will collect data in a standardised way on the following elements: generic content; topic specific content; gender and social inclusion; geographical disaggregation; data disaggregation; statistical complexity (descriptive to advanced); SDGs measured; International statistical standards followed; geospatial methods applied; derived index inclusion; use of population projections etc.
- The google sheet will include information to guide standardisation of responses.
- Most responses will be categorical with some open ended responses to capture unique elements.

Requirements
- Candidates should have previous experience in either demographic, social or economic data analysis.
- A degree in social sciences, population studies, demographics, applied statistics or related field will be an advantage.
- High proficiency in reading and writing in either English or French
