Vacancy 1: Communications Consultant (Home Based)

UN Women ECARO will be hiring a National Communications Consultant to support the work on enhancing its digital communications strategies and strengthening its presence on various social media platforms. The consultant will support all regional communications and visibility related activities including Regional GRB Project. The consultant’s role will involve creating compelling content, engaging with audiences, and implementing effective social media campaigns to amplify UN Women’s initiatives, achievements, and advocacy efforts on gender equality and women’s empowerment in the Europe and Central Asia region. Additionally, the consultant will work closely with the regional communications team to ensure cohesive and impactful storytelling and messaging across all digital channels.

Vacancy 2: Project Consultant (Home Based)

LOCATION : Home based, UNITED STATES OF AMERICA TYPE OF CONTRACT : Individual Contract APPLICATION DEADLINE : 06-Jun-24 (Midnight New York, USA) POST LEVEL : National Consultant LANGUAGES REQUIRED : English EXPECTED DURATION OF ASSIGNMENT : 7 months

The consultant will be reporting to the Senior Policy Advisor, Safe Public Spaces, with dual reporting lines to the Chief, EVAW Section, and will be supported by the Finance Associate, EVAW Section, who will be the point of contact for contract and payment issues. He will also be responsible for setting up new activity budget lines to support delivery of the EVAW non-core projects on Technology-Facilitated Violence Against Women and Girls (VAWG), Safe Public Spaces, VAWG Data, and Essential Services areas of work, and the annual UNiTE Campaign.

Vacancy 3: National Consultant on Women’s Economic Empowerment (Home Based)

UN Women Jordan Country Office is planning to recruit a long-term National Consultant on Women’s Economic Empowerment to support:

Support the co-creation of Surge Women’s Employment programme in Jordan as part of the regional one by utilizing the initial analyses done for this purpose by UN Women Regional Office for the Arab States.
Support the development of the country’s profile on women’s economic empowerment at JCO and contribute to making employment projections in collaboration with relevant staff and identified strategic partners and stakeholders.
Identify strategic stakeholders and convene consultations and discussions to implement the adopted participatory approach in the development of the country’s profile on women’s economic empowerment and the Surge Women’s Employment programme and to strengthen partnerships and recognition of UN Women’s efforts in this field.
Support the development of a sustainable finance component for Surge Women’s Employment programme that is aligned with Jordan’s eco-system and that can attract partners to engage in (IFIs, MDBs, others).
